Hi, I’m Lucie, a nurse, business owner, animal lover, theatre enthusiast, and someone who is slowly learning that life doesn’t always follow the plan you had for it.

For a long time, I thought I knew what my life was going to look like. I worked in intensive care, built a career in healthcare, started my own aesthetics business, and tried to fit all the other things I loved around it.

Then life changed.

Health problems forced me to slow down and question things I had always taken for granted, my career, my identity, my ambitions, and even what I considered a successful life. I found myself having to rethink what I wanted, what I could realistically do, and what actually mattered to me.

And, honestly, I’m still figuring it out!

That’s where Alexandra Rewritten came from.

This isn’t a blog about having everything worked out. It’s about what happens when the life you imagined no longer quite fits and you decide to write a different one.

Here, I’ll be sharing the things I’m learning along the way: navigating health and changing abilities, what working in healthcare has taught me about people and life, building a business around the life I actually want, animals and the strange joy they bring to it, creativity and theatre, finding purpose, and figuring out who you are when your plans change.

There will probably be some honesty, some overthinking, some humour, and quite a lot of figuring things out as I go.

I’m here to share my life, the messy bits, the unexpected bits, the things that make me laugh, the things that hurt, and the things I’m still hopeful about.

Because maybe a life being rewritten isn’t a life that’s gone wrong.

Maybe it’s just a different story.
